Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not
need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15 NASB
Now these were more noble-minded… for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.
Acts 17:11 NASB
About This Site:
This site is a place for me to express the reasons why I left the Oneness Apostolic movement. I originally intended it to be for friends and family, but people that I have never met have already discovered the site. Please understand that my goal is not to persuade anyone to leave the movement; my only desire is to open the door for honest and sincere discussion for everyone who visits–regardless of their religious affiliation. It is my prayer that people will read my story and be challenged to examine their own beliefs, and to “get into the Word” to see if what they have been taught is correct! [Read More]
Site Update (Oct. 7, 2008):
I noticed this morning that many articles were not displaying correctly. I decided to go ahead and overhaul the theme and give the site a face lift. Over the next week or two I will be continuing to tweak little bugs and make things look neater and cleaner. Please bear with me, thanks!
Important Note On Terms:
This site is written to, not at, Apostolic Pentecostals. For the purposes of this site I define Apostolic the way it is defined on the Apostolic Friends Forum:
Those that believe that every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith
with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God1.
My personal background is not just apostolic, it is holiness Apostolic. I was raised in a combination of independent holiness apostolic, UPC, and ALJC churches. Because of my background I sometimes use the terms “UPC”, “apostolic”, and “Oneness Pentecostal” interchangeably. However, I would like to stress that this site is not related to the current split going on in the UPC. I do not identify with the Oneness Apostolic movement at all, so please do not mistake this for an anti-UPC site.
